The Most Extravagant Push Presents Ever

By now, you've likely heard the term "push present," which has fallen victim to unfortunate alliteration, and has taken the world by storm. If you have no idea what this means, don't over-think — it's fairly self-explanatory. According to a 2007 feature in The New York Times,  the "push" in "push present" means that, "I the mother ... [having] pushed out this blessed event, hereby claim my reward." In other words, "I just went through the ringer, and now momma wants [insert Amazon wish list here.]" Mama pushes out a baby, mama wants a present.

Of course, having a little bundle of joy is better than any handbag, car, or diamond ring. That said, a little celebratory gift never hurts. Push presents are especially on-trend on Hollywood, where more, umm, grandiose push presents are becoming the norm for celebs. And honestly, who doesn't want a Ferrari as a thank-you for bringing new life into the world? Here are some of Hollywood's most extravagant push presents.

Catherine Giudici's diamond bling

Catherine Giudici and Sean Lowe aren't your average couple — unless, of course, you consider meeting on reality television the new normal. Giudici and husband Lowe met in 2012 when Giudici was a contestant on Lowe's season of The Bachelor, ABC's mega-popular reality dating show. After an adorable courtship that played out on national television for all to see, Giudici won the final rose, Lowe's heart, and a big 'ol diamond engagement ring designed by Neil Lane.

Famed jewelry designer Neil Lane made his first appearance on The Bachelor in 2013, and has since become a staple of the franchise. Every Bachelor and Bachelorette finale episode since has featured Lane showcasing a beautiful selection of engagement rings to some very nervous dudes — sometimes even offering glimmering pieces of wisdom. Lane is forever a part of Bachelor couples' stories. So when Giudici to gave birth to her first child and Lowe wanted to get her something special, the former bachelor knew just who to call.

Lowe and Lane worked together to design a stackable diamond and rose gold band that would match Giudici's wedding band. As Lane told People, "[The ring is] a beautiful, romantic, symbolic band to stack beside [her wedding band] to celebrate baby." Lane also said Lowe was "so excited about becoming a dad" and "thought about this gift for months." Awwwww.

Mila Kunis' motherhood ring

A collective "Finally!" could be heard throughout the land when news broke of the relationship between America's retro sweethearts, Kelso and Jackie — err, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis. Kutcher and Kunis, famous for their hopelessly romantic and adorably naive characters from That '70s Show, had long been rumored to have an off-screen romance. Fun fact: Kutcher was Kunis' very first kiss! So when the lovebirds were spotted on a romantic getaway together in 2012, they instantly became the talk of the town.

America's favorite couple welcomed their first child, Wyatt Isabelle Kutcher, on October 1, 2014. In February 2015, Kunis stopped by The Ellen Show to dish the adorable details about the newest member of the Kutcher/Kunis clan. "She was nine and a half pounds when she was born," Kunis told Degeneres as the studio audience gasped. "She's a big girl, y'all." When Degeneres replied by asking Kunis if she got "a really good push gift," Kunis smiled and said, "Yes, I did."

However, Kutcher can't take all the credit. According to Vogue, Kunis actually designed her push present herself. The actress collaborated with jewelry designer Marina B. to design an 18k yellow gold emerald "Motherhood" ring. Priced at $4,800, proceeds from the ring were donated to a Zambian maternity center.

Mariah Carey's glitter

All that glitters is not gold, no matter what Smash Mouth would have you believe. No one knows this better than Mariah Carey, who felt the Rotten Tomatoes wrath in 2001 when she earned an approval rating of 7% on the site for her romance/drama/musical, Glitter. The film was a box office flop. While it's safe to say that Glitter didn't exactly paint Carey to be a shining star, the pop powerhouse still sparkles thanks to her famous pipes, tremendous talent, and oh — those diamonds!

When Carey gave birth to twins in April 2011, her then-husband Nick Cannon knew he had to surprise his wife with something special. "My wife has so much jewelry, so I've got to be really creative when I give gifts," the new dad told Extra. Cannon certainly succeeded — he gifted his superstar wife a pink and white diamond necklace with the names of their son and daughter, Moroccan and Monroe.

Kylie Jenner's new ride

There are a lot of factors to consider when bringing a baby into the world. Do you have room in your home? Should you move to the suburbs? And, if you're Kylie Jenner — should you get a Ferrari?

Of course, if any celebrity was going to receive a Ferrari as their push present, it was going to be a member of the Kardashian/Jenner clan. Jenner and Travis Scott welcomed their baby daughter on February 1, 2018, announcing her birth with a heartwarming video showcasing Jenner's pregnancy journey titled, "To Our Daughter." As Kardashian/Jenners are apt to do, the reality television star slash entrepreneur broke the internet with the video announcement and the Instagram reveal of her daughter's name — Stormi.

Not to be outdone, Stormi's father went all out for Jenner's push present — subsequently breaking what was left of the internet. In an Instagram story, Jenner casually gave fans a glimpse at Scott's gift — a $1.4 million Ferrari LaFerrari. "Push present," Jenner says casually in the video. Celebrities — they're just like us, right?

Nicole Kidman's bands of love

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban just may be everyone's favorite couple from Down Under. The beloved Hollywood leading lady and bonafide country music superstar wed in 2006 and have been making people everywhere jealous of their downright adorable relationship ever since. The love these two share is palpable. Seriously, have you seen the way these two look at each other

Unlike most mega-famous couples, these two seem to truly share a bond strong enough to last a lifetime. So when Kidman gave birth to the couple's first child, Sunday Rose, Urban wanted to make sure the mother of his new daughter knew just how special and loved she was. The country chart-topper gifted Kidman a beautiful, diamond-encrusted Cartier Trinity ring in 18k white, yellow, and rose gold to celebrate the birth of their first child together. It's said that each band in a Cartier Trinity ring has specific meaning — white gold for friendship, yellow gold for loyalty, and rose gold for true love. Hats off to Keith Urban — the man knows how to make a girl feel special!

Beyoncé's blue (Ivy) bling

Long before that infamous yellow dress made its debut in the Lemonade visual album, blue was the preferred color of pop culture's royal couple, Beyoncé and Jay-Z. The latter of the famous duo released his album The Blueprint in 2001, along with The Blueprint 2: The Gift & the Curse in 2002, and The Blueprint 3 in 2009. However, the blue clues don't stop there. In a 2005 collaboration with Young Jeezy, Jay-Z can be heard rapping, "My favorite hue is Jay-Z Blue." And finally, when Beyoncé graced a 2012 cover of People as the World's Most Beautiful Woman, she  said, "I am obsessed with blue ... and I mean that in many ways!"

When the Carters announced the January 2012 birth of their first daughter, Blue Ivy, fans immediately began to speculate the meaning behind the unusual name. However, knowing the couple's history with the color blue, the unusual name isn't that unusual, after all. It was only fitting that Jay-Z buy his beloved Bey a push present worthy of a queen (and new princess); this is reportedly why Queen Bey could be seen only a month later at Carnegie Hall sporting a ginormous, electric blue tanazanite ring estimated to cost a whopping $35,000.

Kristin Cavallari's baby bag swag

Kristin Cavallari may be a doting wife and mother now, but the blonde beauty cut her teeth by being the girl America loved to hate on MTV's breakout reality television show, Laguna Beach. She has no qualms about her bad girl persona, telling InStyle, "[Being that person has] gotten me to where I am today, and it's just a part of my journey. It made me who I am."

So, who exactly is she now? Besides being Lauren Conrad's high school nemesis, the former reality television starlet married quarterback Jay Cutler in June 2013 and has since given birth to three children — Saylor James, Jaxon Wyatt, and Camden Jack. When Camden, the couple's firstborn child, was born in 2012, Cutler surprised his then-fiancé with a winning push present for the So-Cal fashionista. "I got a gray [Hermès] Birkin bag," Cavallari dished to Peopleadding that she was "really excited about it."

Jennifer Garner and the case of the (almost) missing ring

One of the most heartbreaking Hollywood splits belongs to former it-couple, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck. According to Affleck, he fell in love with Garner, his co-star, while filming Daredevil in 2003. He told Us Weekly in 2015, "[Garner] is by leaps and bounds the most important person to me." The sweet, classy charm of Garner seemed to have tamed the noted Hollywood bad boy. However, it all came crashing down in 2015 when Garner and Affleck officially announced their separation after months of dodging rumors.

Luckily, these two have been able to stay friends for their kids — Affleck even going so far as to say that what he shares with Garner is "quite a special connection." Hopefully, these two can still laugh about the good times — like the time Garner nearly lost the diamond ring Affleck gifted her in 2005 when their daughter Violet was born.

During a visit to Live! With Regis and Kelly, Garner told Regis Philbin, "[Affleck] gave me this beautiful diamond ring and I was playing with it and ... it fell off." She continued by detailing how she had to hire a plumber to retrieve the ring from a drain located under the couple's home, even admitting that she never mentioned the incident to Affleck. Talk about a diamond doozy!

Jennifer Lopez's love don't cost ... diamond earrings?

What are the lyrics to "Love Don't Cost a Thing?" You think you gotta keep me iced, you don't/Unless I give birth to twins, then maybe ... ? That kind of has a ring to it, doesn't it? Jennifer Lopez's love might not cost a thing, but the push present reportedly gifted to her by then-husband Marc Anthony certainly did. Longtime friends and music superstars, Lopez and Anthony married in June 2004. They remained married for seven years before divorcing in 2011, an experience about which Lopez would later say, "I knew very quickly that [marriage] wasn't the right thing."

Despite their differences, Lopez and Anthony have managed to take the high road, remain friends, and work together to co-parent their little ones, who were born in February 2008. However, it hasn't always been smooth sailing for the superstar parents. At the time of the twins' birth, it was reported that Anthony had presented Lopez with a pair of $2.6 million diamond earrings as a push present. When the couple announced their split, many outlets reported that Lopez sold many — if not all — of Anthony's gifts. Yes, earrings included. Yikes!

Kim Kardashian-West's (diamond) hug around the neck

Could it be that Kim Kardashian-West is the inspiration behind her sister Kylie's larger-than-life push present? In 2015, Kardashian-West was not only expecting her second child — the reality television and fashion icon was expecting quite the impressive push present from her husband, Kanye West. Buying a push present for a woman who seemingly has it all is a daunting task, so Kardashian-West took a little bit of pressure off her husband's shoulders by creating an extravagant push present wish list and posting it to her website for all to see (via Access Online). No pressure, right?

Well, the girl gets what the girl wants. West is obviously the type of partner who knows how to take a not-so-subtle hint, because one of the most lavish items from Kardashian-West's wish list was soon on full-display around the media mogul's neck at a friend's wedding. The item? An extraordinary Lorraine Schwartz diamond choker that Kardashian-West had "worn before to the Art [and] Film Gala."
