Kate Middleton's Stunning Pregnancy Style
Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, announced her pregnancy with her and Prince William's third child in 2017. Prince George and Princess Charlotte are several years older than the newest little prince or princess to be, but mom Kate is just as stylish, sophisticated, elegant, and impeccably polished in her maternity clothing this time around as she was the two previous pregnancies.

Leaving the hospital for treatment of her condition - December 2012
In early December 2012, the royal family had to confirm that Middleton was pregnant with her and Prince William's first child before she was 12 weeks along because she had to be hospitalized for an extreme form of morning sickness, called hyperemesis gravidarum, that can lead to dizziness, persistent vomiting, and dehydration. According to CBS News, Middleton held a small arrangement of yellow roses while leaving the King Edward VII Hospital in London alongside her husband. Middleton looked polished, even after her hospital stay, wearing a textured dark coat with a few ruffles and a periwinkle scarf.
At the National Portrait Gallery - January 11, 2013
Not long after her pregnancy was announced, Middleton and Prince William attended a private viewing of the Duchess' official portrait at the National Portrait Gallery on January 11, 2013. The stunning painting depicted Middleton naturally, without a tiara, hair down, and wearing a modest, forest-green blouse, set against a dark background. According to The Telegraph, the wine-colored, belted dress Middleton wore for the occasion was by Whistles. In early March 2013, Middleton visited the Humberside Fire and Rescue Peaks Lane Fire Station, after a stop at the Fishing Heritage Centre. According to Us Weekly, Middleton wore a coat for the festivities that she's been spotted in before — a chestnut brown Hobbs "Celeste" coat that she also wore while visiting Liverpool in February 2012. This time, she paired it with a pair of black heels and a dress by Great Plains. Even the Duchess re-wears outfits sometimes.
Gold Cup Day - March 15, 2013
While attending the Cheltenham Festival on Gold Cup Day with her husband, Middleton wore a dusty-rose-colored short coat by Joseph, with which she paired brown suede boots, a brown clutch, and a brown hat designed by James Lock, ABC News reported. Up until this point, Middleton hadn't made very many official, public engagements during her pregnancy with her first child, but she made many over the remaining months of her first pregnancy.

According to What Kate Wore, a fashion blog that chronicles her assorted outfits, Middleton wore a white coat by Goat to a visit at the headquarters of Child Bereavement UK with her husband, the Duke of Cambridge. The Duchess also wore a black dress with a dainty white Peter Pan-style collar, a super-affordable choice from British retailer Topshop, and black wool Cornelia James gloves adorned with bows. During her visit, she also received a Teddy bear for her future baby.
At the Baker Street Underground Station - March 20, 2013
On March 20, 2013, Middleton accompanied Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip to the Baker Street Underground Station to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the London Underground. According to E! News, Middleton was given a button emblazoned with the phrase "Baby on Board." The trio also got a chance to tour the oldest carriage that's still operational, one from 1892. According to The Telegraph, the Duchess wore a beautiful coat by Malene Birger and hat with dark tights and dark-colored heels for the occasion, continuing to keep her growing baby bump under wraps.
At the Great Tower Scout Camp - March 22, 2013
In late March 2013, the Duchess of Cambridge went to a wintry Scout camp where, according to The Telegraph, she infused a bit of her own sense of style into the typical camp uniform. For the occasion, Middleton wore an olive green parka, a green tweed hat, Le Chameau wellies, and a red, white, and blue neckerchief tied like a scarf into a "friendship knot" (an acceptable alternative, according to the Scouts — the neckerchief is more traditionally fastened with a woggle). While there, she helped teach the Scouts how to light a campfire and cooked bread twists over the fire. Pretty impressive for someone who spent the day in flurries and cold.

The Duchess attended the National Review of Queen's Scouts when she was six months pregnant with her first child in late April of 2013. According to Us magazine, Middleton chose a mint-green Mulberry cotton-tweed coat to go along with the lovely spring weather, a hat by Whiteley Cappuccino, and a pair of heels and a clutch, both designed by LK Bennett. The sweet floral buttons on her coat perfectly matched the April occasion, as well.

A few months before Middleton gave birth to her first child (a son, Prince George), she toured the Harry Potter studio at the Inauguration of Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in Hertfordshire alongside her husband, Prince William, and his brother, Prince Harry. According to the BBC, Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling was there for the royal tour as well (and even wore a polka dot dress that somewhat matched Middleton's, though, according to Hello! magazine, Middleton's was from Topshop). Middleton pulled her outfit together with black pumps and a smart black blazer. It was one of her final public appearances before George's birth that July.

A little more than a year after George's birth, the Duke and Duchess announced Middleton's second pregnancy on September 8, 2014, as she was once again being treated for hyperemesis gravidarum. Just over a month later, Middleton attended two official events in one day on October 21, 2014, her first two official public events after the announcement. According to Vanity Fair, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended The Royal Variety Performance for the first time in 2014 — normally the Queen attends instead — and afterwards the Duchess met Harry Styles and the other members of One Direction. Middleton and Prince William both graduated from the St. Andrews University (which is where the couple met). According to Vogue, the event was "created to support scholarships and bursaries for students from under-privileged communities and investment in the university's media and science faculties, sports centers and lectureship in American literature." The stunning Jenny Packham gown Middleton wore is one of her best looks ever, not just one of her most stunning maternity looks.
At Barlby Primary School - January 15, 2015
The Duchess of Cambridge attended an event at London's Barley Primary School to officially name the school's art room in January 2015. For the ceremony, Middleton wore a beautiful navy and tweed Madderson dress and paired it with dark tights, dark heels, and a dark-colored pocketbook. According to E! News, like the dress she wore the following day, the Madderson dress sold out online shortly after photos of the Duchess surfaced online.
At The Fostering Network - January 16, 2015
According to Elle, on January 16, 2015, when Middleton attended an event at The Fostering Network, she wore a non-maternity ensemble over her baby bump. The dress — a brown silk jacquard Hobbs dress — sold out online shortly after the Duchess donned it for her day out. Some moms-to-be might think it daring to wear a non-maternity dress while sporting an obvious baby bump (or it wouldn't have occurred to them in the first place), but Middleton seemed to embrace the look and she pulled it off quite well.

Just a few days later in January 2015, Middleton celebrated the opening of the new Kensington Leisure Centre in London. According to TIME, the Kensington and Chelsea Council gifted the Duchess and her family a lifetime membership at the recreation center, along with rubber duck inner tube for Prince George and swimming lesson gear. Middleton wore an elegant, collarless, ice blue Seraphine wool coat for the occasion, called the "Natasha" according to Hello! magazine. The coat sold out in light blue, like many of Middleton's other ensembles over the years.
At Cape Hill Children's Centre - February 18, 2015
Part of Duchess Kate's charity work has included supporting and working for vulnerable children and families. According to the Birmingham Mail, Middleton visited the Action Children's Cape Hill Children's Centre in February 2015, where she was scheduled to meet with families who'd survived domestic violence, illness, and other serious issues, while also attending a play group for toddlers and preschoolers under five years of age.
Middleton wore a blue Sportmax coat over an affordable Seraphine floral dress and navy pumps by Jimmy Choo for her visit, as Us magazine reported. Once again, Middleton's dress is one she'd worn in the past, again showing us that wearing an outfit more than once can still be super fashionable.

Middleton looked pretty in pink at Westminster Abbey for the Observance of Commonwealth Day service in March 2015. Middleton visited the set of Downton Abbey on March 12, 2015, temporarily trading the real royal family for the fictional Crawleys. According to Variety, the Duchess is a big fan of the show and seemed quite excited to visit with the cast and crew, see the set close-up, and watch some of production. For her day with the Crawley family, the Duchess wore a cream-colored princess line maternity coat by JoJo Maman Bébé, carried a dark-colored pocketbook, and wore matching dark heels, as The Telegraph reported.
