Brittany was born and raised in the DMV; she now works and plays in the City of Angels. She started her journalism career as a music reporter for The Young Folks, where she interviewed over 80 musicians and photographed legends such as Paramore, Weezer, and Fetty Wap. Today, you can find her covering her favorite artists at Top Five Records; additionally, she regularly contributes film criticism to Movie Ranker. As a writer of poetry and prose, she has been published by HAD, Dream Boy Book Club, Spectra, and Versification, among other lit mags. She was named a Best of the Net Award finalist in 2022.

Brittany Menjivar graduated from Yale University in 2021. She received a B.A. in English (with a concentration in Nonfiction Writing) and Film & Media Studies (with an emphasis on Screenwriting).
