Are The Tanner Sisters All Friends In Real Life?

Candace Cameron Bure once said of her "Full House" role, "If I am forever known as D.J. Tanner and everyone's big sister, I will be thrilled and happy." Bure and co-star Jodie Sweetin played sisters on the 90s sitcom, and true to Bure's sentiments, they have remained friends — but did the two stay in contact with their other "sisters?"
Sweetin — who played Stephanie Tanner — has remained close friends with Bure for almost 30 years. Bure supported Sweetin through a broken engagement and subsequent restraining order, and celebrated with her in 2022 when she got engaged to her boyfriend of four years; however, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are a different case.
The Olsen twins, who shared the role of Michelle Tanner, have not remained in close contact with their older television sisters, and they even declined to cameo in the Netflix sequel series “Fuller House.” However, the twins were reportedly close with their on-screen dad Bob Saget, and attended his memorial service in January 2022.
