Bruce Willis' family has stated that he will be stepping away from acting. Willis has been a Hollywood mainstay since the 1980s, starring in films such as "Die Hard," "The Fifth Element," "Armageddon," "The Sixth Sense," and others.
On March 30, Willis' family announced on Instagram that he has been diagnosed with aphasia, a condition “that robs you of the ability to communicate.” The condition "is impacting his cognitive abilities," according to Bruce's family, though no further specifics were revealed at the time.
Willis married Emma Heming in 2009 and they have two children together, although his bond with ex-wife Demi Moore is still very strong. "We are moving through this as a strong family unit," Willis' blended family said at the end of their statement, referring to their plans to face this difficult diagnosis together.
