Catherine Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, has tragically lost one of her most important role models, whom she was also personally close to. Christine Hill, an antenatal expert who guided Middleton and husband Prince William through the birth of their firstborn, Prince George, has passed away at the age of 74, as Newsweek reported on July 14, 2022.
The Cambridges formed a strong and valued mentorship with Hill throughout 2013, the year George was born. Royal experts have long commented on Catherine's admirable parenting style, but some may not know that she struggled with complications during each of her pregnancies, including a severe disease, hyperemesis gravidarum.
Christine Hill played a huge role in Catherine's successfully becoming a mother. A spokesperson for Hill's family shared that "She will be achingly missed [,..] Her feisty, amusing, straightforward demeanor won her many friends." It appears that Catherine and Prince William are only two of the many people who will miss Hill.
