Chris Cuomo used to be of the most popular news anchors on CNN, but amid his brother Andrew Cuomo's sexual harassment scandal — which caused Andrew to resign as the governor of New York — Chris was fired from the news network for defending his brother. However, as of July 2022, Chris is poised for a career comeback.
Chris Cuomo has landed an upcoming primetime show on the cable network station NewsNation; the show is slated to debut this fall. He confirmed his return to TV journalism on "Dan Abrams Live," and host Dan Abrams also asked Cuomo pressing questions regarding his involvement in his brother's scandal.
Abrams asked if Cuomo believed he was a victim of cancel culture, to which Cuomo replied, "No, I don't think I've ever been a victim of anything ever in my life." When asked if he's "angry" at Andrew, Chris stated, "I love my brother [...] For me, it was about helping my brother in a hard way, and doing it in a way that I didn't think compromised what matters."
