DONALD TRUMP JUST LOST A MAJOR SUPPORTER IN THE MEDIA

Since Donald Trump's controversial presidency concluded in 2021, the media has grown more critical of the ex-president, especially with his involvement in the January 6 Capitol riots going under legal investigation. In spite of it all, Trump plans to pursue a 2024 presidential election, but unfortunately for him, he just lost one of his biggest media supporters.
As of July 2022, The New York Post — which endorsed Trump for his 2020 reelection – is condemning his inability to act during the January 6 attack. An op-ed by the tabloid's editorial board reads, "As his followers stormed the Capitol, calling for his vice president to be hanged, President Donald Trump sat in his private dining room, watching TV, doing nothing."
The piece continued, "he was the only person who could stop what was happening. He was the only one the crowd was listening to. It was incitement by silence. [...] It's up to the Justice Department to decide if this is a crime. But as a matter of principle, as a matter of character, Trump has proven himself unworthy to be this country's chief executive again."
With Trump having lost a major ally in the public eye, and considering the way his investigative hearings are going, he may become even more desperate in his attempt to become President again. Some theorize that a big motive for Trump's 2024 campaign is to truncate the legal investigation against him, for fear his current troubles may result in the worst.
