Thanks to its dedicated fans, "Married... With Children" became one of Fox’s most successful sitcoms, propelling its cast to stardom and some hefty earnings. A sitcom can lead to a steady salary, but exactly how much did Ed O’Neill make playing Al Bundy?
According to Wealthy Peeps, O’Neill made an estimated $500,000 per episode towards the sitcom's end, which amounted to $13 million per season for the last three seasons. Now that the show is available to stream, O’Neill still earns an estimated $10 million a year, despite the sitcom ending in 1997.
O’Neill has his manager, Bernie Brillstein, to thank for his pay raise, as well as for the brand new Porsche Carrera 4 that he received from executive producer Gary Lieberthal. This was after Brillstein reminded Lieberthal that O’Neill, the “number one guy” on his show, drove a “******* Mustang,” a negotiation that Lieberthal (genuinely) described as “fun.”
