Former Butler Breaks His Silence On Bizarre Myths About King Charles

Despite their fame, most members of the royal family are rather private people, and now that King Charles III has taken the throne, myths and speculation about him are at an all-time high. Charles' former butler, Grant Harrold, spoke to ET Online and shot down some popular and bizarre myths about the king.
Author Tom Bower has claimed that Charles once transported all of his bedroom furniture and his own toilet seat when he went to stay at a friend's home. Harrold remarked on the rumor, "Somebody said to me, 'Oh did you have to carry the loo toilet seat around?' And I said, 'What toilet seat?' I've never heard of this."
Harrold also disagrees with a story by another former royal butler, Paul Burrell. In the documentary, "Serving the Royals: Inside the Firm," Burrell claimed that Charles' "pajamas are pressed every morning so that they don't have creases in them for the next day. His shoelaces are pressed flat with an iron."
"Why would you even iron shoe laces?" Harrold said of Burrell's claims. "It doesn't even make sense. It's completely made up and I don't know where these comments come from." He called all the rumors "just silly," and considering that Harrold worked for Charles from 2004-2011, he likely knows what he's talking about.
