He got super religious
In the 2010s, former child star Angus T. Jones of "Two and Half Men" became very religious, and went from reading the Bible to experimenting with different churches. He finally found his calling in the Seventh Day Adventist Church — the teachings of which he felt were "tailor-made" for him.
HE slammed the show
Jones has told fans to stop watching "Two and a Half Men" and "filling [their heads] with filth." However, the massive controversy following his comments led him to apologize in another public statement, where he acknowledged how "blessed" he was to be on the show.
He Quit the show
Upon finding his religion, Jones quit "Two and a Half Men" at the end of Season 10 because he didn’t want to be part of a show that was "making light of topics" that are serious problems in real life. The show explained Jones’ absence by sending off Jake Harper to Japan.
He WEnt to college
After leaving the sitcom that made him famous, Jones attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he changed his major from environmental studies to Jewish studies. He recalled being excited to live a "normal existence" where he "wasn’t the center of everyone’s attention."
He joined the finale
Despite the drama surrounding Jones’ departure from "Two and a Half Men," there was no bad blood between him and the crew, and he was invited to make a special appearance in the series finale. Creator Chuck Lorre described the audience’s reaction as "loud and exuberant".
