Bo Brady, played by Peter Reckell, was a beloved "Days of Our Lives" character who originally appeared in Salem in 1983 as a motorcycle-riding rebel dedicated to his working-class family. Soon after, he fell in love with upper-class Hope Williams, and the two were at the center of Salem's drama for years, until their love story came to a tragic end when Bo was written off the show.
Reckell left "DOOL" in 2012 to spend more time with his family, which resulted in his character being sent away in search of medication to help his mother's illness, never to be seen again, but in 2015, Reckell returned as Bo, seeking to give fans closure. Bo reconnected with his family and told them about how he was held prisoner and tortured for years.
Bo was thrilled to be back with Hope and his daughter, but his happiness was short-lived. He soon discovered he had a brain tumor and that his body was too weak after years of torture to withstand treatment, which tragically resulted in Bo dying in Hope's arms in a heartbreaking scene.
