On "The Cosby Show," Lisa Bonet played the free-spirited Denise Huxtable, while Bill Cosby played her TV father, Cliff Huxtable. In the 1980s and early 1990s, their fictitious relationship was relatable and even inspirational for many families, but things weren't so pleasant once the cameras stopped rolling.
Bonet and Cosby have feuded multiple times over the years, including when Bonet appeared in a sex scene in the 1987 film “Angel Heart.” When Bonet became pregnant in real life, some suggested incorporating it into her role on the “Cosby Show” spinoff “A Different World,” but Cosby refused and fired her.
Years later, in 2015, when Cosby was first accused of drugging and abusing multiple women, Bonet remained silent on the topic. Daughter Zoë Kravitz said Bonet would "plead the fifth," even with her, adding, “She's just as disgusted and concerned as everyone else is, but I don't think she has any insight. It's news to her as well."
However, by 2018, Bonet had said a little more about Cosby, claiming that while she was oblivious to his behavior, "There was just energy. And that type of sinister, shadow energy cannot be concealed." Kravitz has looked back on her photos with him in a new light as well, saying that Cosby’s face was “kind of creepy."
