"The Hills" premiered in 2006 and ran through 2010, following the actors as they lived, worked, and fell in love in Los Angeles. With their entry-level jobs and unpaid internships, many fans wondered how the young adults could afford such lavish lifestyles, and we finally have an answer.
Lauren Conrad made the most money as the show runner and main star, earning $125,000 per episode, or about $2.5 million per year. Her contract reportedly included a clause prohibiting any of her other cast members from earning as much as she earned while on the show.
Audrina Patridge, Lauren Bosworth, and Heidi Montag all made about $100,000 each episode, and Kristin Cavallari made around $90,000 per episode. Other members of the supporting cast made a little less, with Spencer Pratt reportedly earning $65,000 each episode and Brody Jenner earning $45,000.
