How Queen Camilla Honored The Past With Her Funeral Jewelry

Queen Elizabeth II's funeral saw her nearest and dearest relatives gather at Westminster Abbey to pay their respects. Royal family members have long used their choice of clothing or jewelry to signify special occasions or express their feelings without saying a word, and Camilla, Queen Consort, did just that at Elizabeth's funeral.
Camilla honored the queen's memory by wearing Queen Victoria's Hessian Diamond Jubilee Brooch, a heart-shaped piece that features the number 60, the years of service required for an English monarch to celebrate their Diamond Jubilee. Elizabeth celebrated her Platinum Jubilee a few months ago, beating her great-grandmother's record.
It's likely that Camilla chose the brooch to reference Elizabeth's history-making reign that knocked Queen Victoria off the top spot. The piece was a gift to Camilla from the monarch's own grandchildren, further emphasizing its significance, and Camilla is expected to wear more of the late queen's jewelry and accessories in the future.
