When Thad Luckinbill joined "The Young and the Restless" in 1999, his character was romantically paired with Amelia Heinle, who would go on to become his wife off-screen in 2007. Heinle and Luckinbill eventually became parents to two children, a son named Thaddeus and a daughter named Georgia.
Luckinbill Leaves Y&R
In 2010, Thad Luckinbill chose to leave Y&R after more than a decade when he didn't renew his contract. Heinle offered positive support to her husband, saying, "It's a blessing in disguise. He's never been in this position before. [He] is going to grow as a person and as an actor.”
Parting Ways
In March of 2017, Luckinbill had filed for divorce from Heinle, citing "irreconcilable differences." He had moved on to movie producing by then and was one of the producers of the Oscar-nominated "La La Land,” and — interestingly enough — returned for a high profile Y&R storyline around the time of the separation.
Today
The pair spent time working together after Luckinbill filed for divorce. She even took to Instagram to wish Luckinbill a great birthday in 2020: "Happy Birthday to a really wonderful man, may all of your days be blessed!”
