Prince Louis, Princess Kate and Prince William’s third child, already has a reputation for his creative mischief and funny faces. However, Kate’s third pregnancy wasn’t easy.
Unfortunately, Kate suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum during her pregnancy, which stopped her from holding down food. Prince William felt useless as she battled her sickness.
Recalling the pregnancy, Kate said, "[It was] utterly rotten. I was really sick," via Hello! Magazine. However, her pregnancy sickness made labor more enjoyable by comparison.
Progress
Prince Louis was born on April 23, 2018. Princess Catherine took time away from her royal duties. By January 2019, she started sharing more and more about him with the public.
Kate would share important updates on Louis, like when he began to crawl in early 2019. By May 2019, she was sharing all the ways that the one-year-old kept her on her toes.
First Words
Princess Catherine recalled that one of Louis’ first words was "Mary," thanks to the princess’ collection of Mary Berry’s cookbooks, host of "The Great British Baking Show."
During a Christmas special in 2019, Kate shared that Mary’s face, "was all over your cooking books and he would say 'That’s Mary Berry.'"
Pastimes
The royal couple was always adamant about giving their kids a normal upbringing. Kate has been dedicated to getting her three kids out in the fresh air whenever possible.
Prince Louis specifically enjoyed the outdoors. At the "Back to Nature" festival in 2019, Kate shared that Louis, who was one at the time, loved being around plants.
COVID-19
When the COVID-19 pandemic took hold, Kate and William kept their children close to home. The next time the public saw him, he was a little boy rather than a toddling baby.
Ever since then, the public has been able to witness this hysterical little guy who knew how to pose for the camera, make a funny face, and tease his older siblings.
