Philip’s Funeral
The royal family was hoping Prince Philip’s funeral "would bring the warring brothers together," according to author Robert Lacey, but the two supposedly quarreled inside St. George's Chapel. A friend of theirs commented on the relationship, saying, "The rage and anger between those two has grown so incredibly deep."
Social Media Clues
When Harry and Meghan had their daughter in 2021, William and Kate congratulated the couple with a personal message on social media. It was less formal than the congratulatory post William and Kate made for them in 2018, suggesting the princes were in a better place.
Body Language
A body language expert took a look at Harry and William’s behavior towards each other during the statue unveiling for their mother in 2021. The expert reported that “[William] was less engaging with his brother” and Harry seemed “more relaxed” than William.
Meaningful Reunion
Before the statue dedication for their mother, the Princes spent some time “looking through old keepsakes, notes from Diana and bonding” before the ceremony, according to an anonymous source. It was reported that Harry and William “started the healing” needed to repair their strained relationship.
Accusations
The royal editor for Harper's Bazaar said William supposedly "planted the story" in the press about Harry’s mental health declining when interviewed for a documentary. The royal family had the editor’s statement removed from the documentary for being "potentially defamatory."
