Jada Pinkett Smith had something to say after her husband, Will Smith, slapped Chris Rock for making a joke on stage at the Oscars. Rock compared Pinkett Smith to fellow actress Demi Moore, who shaved her head for the film “G.I. Jane,” not knowing that Pinkett Smith has alopecia, a disease that causes hair loss.

Will Smith ended up winning in the Best Actor category, and while accepting his award on stage, he said, “Love will make you do crazy things.” On March 28, Smith shared an Instagram post expressing his apologies to Rock, the Academy, and audiences, followed by Jada sharing a post of her own.

On March 29, Jada posted a simple quote to Instagram, reading, “This is a season for healing and I’m here for it.” One may think that “healing” would involve forgiveness or talking out the issue, but as of April, we still have no word on whether Smith or Rock have talked it out man-to-man.
