"The Late Late Show" host James Corden has been leading the nighttime CBS show since 2015, winning multiple Emmy Awards while balancing starring roles in films. However, the host recently announced that there would be one less project for him in the mix.
Corden announced that he'll be leaving "The Late Late Show" in summer 2023, saying that “it’s a really hard decision to leave because I'm so immensely proud of the show.” After the news broke, he discussed his decision on his show, saying, "I never saw it as my final destination. I never want this show to overstay its welcome in any way.”
He added, “I always want to love making it, and I really think in a year from now, that will be a good time to move on and see what else might be out there." Corden reassured fans that his last year hosting will be filled with more "Carpool Karaoke," "Crosswalks," and other surprises to go out with a bang.
