On April 11, 2022, country superstar Jason Aldean and 1980s Canadian-born pop sensation Bryan Adams performed "Heaven" together for the first time in 12 years at the CMT Music Awards. However, some people wished they could forget it after hearing it performed again.
Adams first recorded "Heaven" for the film “A Night in Heaven,” starring Lesley Ann Warren and Christopher Atkins, but it didn’t leave an impact. However, when Adams included it on his 1985 album “Reckless,” it became a hit that Generation Xers will never forget.
When Aldean and Adams performed "Heaven," some fans knew they'd heard enough. "Jason Aldean singing 'Heaven' on #CMTAwards is brutal," wrote one Twitter user, with another wondering, "Now why would they let Jason Aldean go and ruin this song?"
