On their reality show "Chrisley Knows Best," fans have enjoyed watching the drama of the seemingly picture-perfect Chrisley family, real estate mogul Todd Chrisley, his wife, Julie, and their five children, for nearly a decade. The USA Network show was renewed for a tenth season, but a recent court verdict is likely to change that.
Todd and Julie lived a lavish life for many years, but basic math eventually caught up with them: when you spend more than you earn, you have a problem. When they came into financial trouble, they used forged documents to get bank loans and a production company to hide their "Chrisley Knows Best" income from the IRS.
After a three-week trial, a federal jury found Todd and Julie guilty of multiple types of financial fraud, and both could face a 30-year prison sentence. As of this writing, no sentencing date has been set, and the two must now notify probation authorities whenever they spend more than $1,000, and they can only leave their house for work or doctor's visits.
