Her divorce from Jon
After 10 years of marriage, Kate filed for divorce from Jon due to rumors of infidelity and cheating. Kate released a statement saying, “Over the course of this weekend, Jon’s activities have left me no choice but to file legal procedures in order to protect myself and our children.”
The failed dating show
Kate was the star of the reality TV dating show "Kate Plus Date," but it ended up being a failure and a flop. The first season, which debuted in 2019, had Kate going on activity-based dates with various guys; however, she didn't find love, and the speculations of a second season in 2022 never came to be.
Her Children
It appears that Kate isn’t close with all her children, as she was reported to have serious issues with her son, Collin, in 2019. Collin and her daughter Hannah decided to move in with Jon in 2021, with Hannah commenting, “I have always been closer with my dad and we’ve always had a strong, good relationship.”
Networth
Being a reality TV show star is considered one of the quickest ways to earn a lot of money, but Kate is reported to only have a net worth of $500,000. At the height of “Jon & Kate Plus Eight’s” popularity, the family earned $22,500 per episode, but her long divorce battle with Jon might have affected her finances.
North Carolina
After living with Jon in Pennsylvania, Kate now calls North Carolina home since selling their million-dollar mansion in 2021. First purchased in 2018, Kate lives with four of her children in her 3,562-square-foot lakefront estate worth $750,000, which features a pool, a private pier, five bathrooms, and four bedrooms.
