Kate Middleton Stuns In A Monochrome Ensemble For Garter Day

On the heels of many talked-about appearances at Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee, Kate Middleton continues to live up to her fashion icon reputation by wearing a bright blue coat dress to the 2022 Order of the Garter ceremony at Windsor Castle. She paired the stunning dress with a matching Juliette Botterill hat.
Online searches for Middleton's fashion choices rose a whopping 400% during the Jubilee. Most senior members of the royal family attended the Order of the Garter, during which Queen Elizabeth invests "any new Companions with the Order's insignia in the Throne Room of the Castle," and then hosts a celebratory lunch.
"Many of the things that we see the Duchess of Cambridge doing today are things that she's learned from the queen," royal expert Bethan Holt told Us Weekly, adding Kate uses color and "different symbols to send messages". Items that the Duchess wears often sell out in minutes, and this phenomenon has its own name: the Kate effect.
