Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis Presley, has faced heartbreak after heartbreak in her life, starting with the unexpected loss of her father when she was nine years old. In 2020, her only son, Benjamin Keough, died by suicide, and she hasn't spoke much about the incident until recently, in May of 2022.
Lisa Marie took to social media to discuss Baz Luhrmann's upcoming movie “Elvis,” and spoke about coping with the death of her son. On Instagram, Presley wrote, “navigating through this hideous grief that absolutely destroyed and shattered my heart and my soul into almost nothing has swallowed me whole.”
Presley added, “not much else aside from my other 3 children gets my time and attention anymore.” She also says it’s heartbreaking that Benjamin isn’t here to see Lurhmann's film, because “he would have absolutely loved it as well”; she praised the film for its “unprecedented” depiction of her father.
