Liz Cheney's Family Lost A 60-Year Friendship By Bashing Trump

Liz Cheney, whose father was vice president of the United States from 2001 to 2009, has revealed how a row about Donald Trump ended a six-decade-long family friendship.
In her memoir, "Oath and Honor: A Memoir and a Warning," former Rep. Cheney detailed the relationship breakdown with a woman who was a former classmate of her mother, Lynne.
Cheney told People that the unnamed friend was completely "enamored" with the former president, and said things came to a head after the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021.
Their argument boiled over when the friend suggested that the rioters were part of the Black Lives Matter and ANTIFA movement, a claim that multiple news outlets have disproved.
Per The New York Times, Cheney, who has had many public disagreements with Trump, wrote, "She threw away a friendship of over 60 years with my mother and my family for nothing."
