Meghan Markle Is Taking Action Against Her Sister's Defamation Lawsuit

Meghan Markle and her half-sister Samantha Markle have bad blood between each other, and Samantha has even written a Meghan-negative memoir titled “The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister.” In her book, she wrote that Meghan was “belittling and controlling” of their father, and has also called her sister inhumane, arrogant, and deceitful.
Samantha has also sued Meghan for defamation, claiming that the Duchess of Sussex lied about her sister during Meghan and husband Harry's infamous Oprah Winfrey interview. Samantha also cites claims in the book "Finding Freedom," a biography on the Sussexes, including one that says Samantha lost custody of her children.
Meghan has filed to dismiss Samantha’s lawsuit, calling it “without merit,” and Samantha’s first lawyer also stepped back from representing her in April. In further complications, Judge Charlene Honeywell was assigned to the case, but Samantha dismissed her because Honeywell was appointed by Barack Obama, a friend to Harry and Meghan.
