Malia and Sasha Obama moved to Los Angeles to live together in 2022. Barack and Michelle Obama were proud parents, but they were still anxious about the distance.
When the girls told their mother they would be living together, Michelle trod with caution because if she revealed how happy she was, they might have second-guessed their decision.
Per People, she disguised her reaction and said, "Okay, well that’s interesting that you guys are going to try living together. We’ll see how it goes."
She continued, "But yeah, it feels good to know that the two girls you raised find solace at a kitchen table with one another. It’s like the one thing you want for them."
On TODAY, Michelle gushed about how the girls are best friends but had a period where they couldn’t stand each other. She misses them, but she now has time with her husband.
