Mina Starsiak Hawk, the star of HGTV's "Good Bones," decided to exit the show after eight seasons due to a combination of personal and professional reasons.
During the course of the show, Starsiak Hawk underwent a transformation from a real estate agent to a television celebrity. She also got married and welcomed two little ones.
On her podcast, "Mina AF," Starsiak Hawk spoke about the pressures of fame and her overwhelming new responsibilities, which all took a significant toll on her.
The pressure only increased when her mother, Karen E. Laine, retired in 2019, putting the burden of running their company, Two Chicks and a Hammer Inc., on
She admitted that the pressure was causing her to lose control of her daily routine. "I just became a version of myself that I really didn't like," she divulged on her podcast.
Moreover, her relationships with family members, particularly her mother and brothers, grew strained over the years. She found it tough to shoot the last season with her mother.
