Earlier in 2022, Virginia Giuffre filed a lawsuit alleging Prince Andrew of sexually assaulting her in 2001, and Queen Elizabeth responded by depriving him of both his military status and royal patronages. According to a source, Prince Andrew is sick of sitting on the bench and wants to go back into the game.
Now that he settled out of court for a reported $16 million with Giuffre, Prince Andrew is said to believe he has earned the right to resume his life as a royal. He reportedly wants to be able to present in an official role at state events, as well as reclaim his two most important royal and military titles, His Royal Highness and Colonel of the Grenadier Guards.
Prince Andrew allegedly also wants both of his daughters, Eugenie and Beatrice, to be promoted to official family status. Eugenie and Beatrice make their money from their own jobs and inheritances, as the queen and her family discreetly decided when the princesses were young that they would not become working royals.
