Loyalty between Melania and Donald Trump has been tested by multiple women and affair allegations. Now, another woman may come between them, but for political reasons.
Kari Lake, former Arizona gubernatorial candidate, is devoted to her appearances at Republican rallies and declarations of loyalty to Trump and his policies.
Lake is also said to have her eye on a bigger career goal: becoming Trump’s running mate. However, her ambition may end up working against her.
In June 2023, People magazine reported on Lake’s frequent visits to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, saying she was there more often than Melania Trump.
On the Daily Beast's podcast, “The New Abnormal,” reporter Zach Petrizzo recently claimed the former first couple is upset at the implication Lake is taking Melania's place.
She’s still pals with Trump, but her odds of being his running mate seem to be dropping, as Trump doesn’t want to risk hurting his marriage. He’s still searching for his next VP.
