As confirmed on May 26, 2022, "Goodfellas" actor Ray Liotta has died at 67 years old. The iconic actor was reportedly on location in the Dominican Republic filming the movie "Dangerous Waters" when he passed away in his sleep; he was also known for roles in films such as "Something Wild," "Unlawful Entry," and "Blow."
Liotta was working on several other projects at the time of his death. In November of 2021, he spoke to People about his Hollywood career, saying, "For some reason, I've been busier this year than I have in all the years that I've been doing this. And I still feel I'm not there yet. I just think there's a lot more."
Fans and friends on Twitter and Instagram quickly took to their platforms to share condolences for the star's death; Jamie Lee Curtis tweeted, "His work as an actor showed his complexity as a human being. A gentle man. So sad to hear." Liotta is survived by his grown daughter, Karsen, and his fiancée, Jacy Nittolo.
