The Queen Reportedly Spoke About Her Legacy Mere Days Before Her Death

Through 2021 and 2022, it became increasingly clear Queen Elizabeth's time as a ruler was coming to an end. Her death on September 8, 2022 still came as a shock to many, but Elizabeth herself remained quite aware of her own age and frailty, and spoke about her legacy — and its relation to her Christinaity — mere days before her passing.
The Reverend Dr. Iain Greenshields stayed for a weekend at the queen' beloved estate in Balmoral, Scotland, just days before her death. Greenshields told ABC News that Elizabeth "said right at the beginning of her time when she was becoming queen that she was going to ask God for wisdom [...] [that] persisted throughout her life."
The Reverend adds that when he and the queen spoke about religious matters, "she said she had no regrets at having started that journey of faith," and said she used her power "in a way that was beneficial to others." It's likely that Elizabeth knew she would leave a massive legacy behind, but felt safe in the hands of her faith.
