The Real Reason Blake Lively Doesn't Drink Alcohol

While you see Blake Lively at some of the most glitz and glam parties, it might surprise you to learn that she doesn't drink alcohol. She claims it's because she doesn't like what alcohol does to people's minds and bodies, but she has a solution to avoid feeling left out of the party while staying sober.
Lively explains, "I don't drink because I don't like the effects of alcohol, but I like being a part of it." She went on to say, "I like people coming together. I found that sometimes not drinking [feels] a little alienating, because you don't feel — and maybe it's just in your own head — but you just don't really feel a part of it."
In order to elevate the prominence of mocktails, Lively founded Betty Buzz, a company dedicated to creating mixers that can compete with their alcoholic equivalents. Lively explained, "I don’t drink. [...] Over the past many years of mixing but not drinking cocktails, it became clear mixers are the unsung heroes of the drink world and deserve just as much love as alcohol."
Betty Buzz beverages include tonic water, Meyer Lemon club soda, sparkling lemon-lime, ginger beer, and sparkling grapefruit. They're made without artificial flavors, colors, or sweeteners, instead relying on "clean ingredients" and "real juice," and whether combined with alcohol or enjoyed on their own, Lively's brand of mixers caters to all party-goers.
