Johnny Depp and Kate Moss were introduced to each other in 1994 by Vanity Fair columnist George Wayne, and during their relationship, the couple constantly made headlines for their PDA. The pair dated for three years, but called it quits in 1997, leaving the public wondering what went wrong.
Depp told Hello! magazine that he was responsible for the split, saying, “I let my work get in the way and I didn't give [Kate] the attention I should have done.” He became overly preoccupied with people's opinions on his work, admitting that “Sure, I should care about my movies, but when I get home I should try to leave that stuff behind.”
Depp also said that what he and Moss had was so pure, calling himself stupid for his behavior. Moss echoed Depp's sadness, telling Vanity Fair in 2012 that Depp was one of the only people who ever took care of her, and she missed that: I really lost that gauge of somebody I could trust [...] Oh the tears!
