The Duggar family's strict Christian lifestyle has received criticism over the years, both during their reality show "19 Kids and Counting" and in the sequel series "Counting On." All that scrutiny, plus rumors that the adult Duggar children were not properly paid for "Counting On," has prompted several Duggar kids to leave the show, including Joy-Anna Duggar.
Joy-Anna and husband Austin Forsyth’s exit came as a surprise, but the couple is definitely not on hard times after leaving. The husband and wife are now flipping houses together, which Austin had done for years before marrying Joy-Anna. They renovated their own home, welcomed a second child, and are now financially independent from the other Duggars.
Joy-Anna and Austin have also not been silent about Josh Duggar’s conviction of receipt and possession of child pornography. On their Instagram Stories, the couple posted, "We agree with the judicial system's verdict and we are thankful for the men and women who work tirelessly to protect children." They continue to support Josh’s wife, Anna Duggar.
