The Reported Reason Hugh Jackman & Deborra-Lee Furness' Romance Fizzled Out

In September 2023, Deborra-Lee Furness and Hugh Jackman announced they were separating after 27 years of marriage. Furness, an actor and director, is 13 years Jackman's senior.
Their relationship had survived the usual difficulties of living in Tinseltown, but spending more time together in recent years is thought to have torn them apart.
The couple, who have a son and a daughter, released a statement to People: "Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth."
The marriage reportedly began its steep decline when the world ground to a halt due to COVID-19. A Daily Mail source said lockdowns had severely strained their relationship.
The source also disclosed that the May-to-September 2023 strike by the Writers Guild of America in Hollywood further exacerbated Jackman and Furness' relationship problems.
The strike put the film industry on hold. Per the Daily Mail, "it got them in the same predicament as COVID did," ultimately causing the relationship's magic to disappear.
