Nicole Curtis's show "Rehab Addict" started out on the DIY Network before moving to HGTV, where Curtis agreed to do the show if the network showed the nitty-gritty that occurs during home rehab work. However, despite the authentic feel of her reality show, Curtis kept a huge secret while filming that surprised many of her fans.
Curtis’ son Ethan was 12 years old when she began filming, and was never kept a secret from fans. However, when the TV host became pregnant with her second son, Harper, in 2015, she hid her growing belly all throughout filming. "It was a very difficult time for me,” Curtis said. “There I was, almost 40, having another child on my own."
Curtis hid her pregnancy by ensuring she was always filmed from the shoulders up, and would even hold large items in front of her body when walking around the homes seen on "Rehab Addict." After Harper was born, Curtis revealed she had been pregnant; she then unfortunately had to rush into a custody battle with Harper's father.
After taking a much-needed pause from her show, Curtis officially came back to HGTV in 2021. In her new show, "Rehab Addict Rescue," she helps DIYers fix mistakes they have made, also assisting them as they rehab their historic houses into the dream homes they desire. Curtis announced on Instagram that new episodes premiere July 13, 2022.
