Fans and family are currently mourning Ray Liotta, who died in May 2022 67 years old. Liotta made a name for himself with films such as “Goodfellas,” “Unlawful Entry,” and even the “Muppet” movies; however, fans may not know that a young Liotta starred in the beloved NBC soap opera “Another World.”
Liotta played young hero Joey Perrini on “Another World” from 1978 to 1981. Joey had a turbulent love life and was prominently involved with three different women on the show, and in 2010, Liotta spoke about his soap opera days with humor and nostalgia, recounting Joey's melodrama on “The Bonnie Hunt Show.”
“I proposed to my girlfriend on a hill,” Liotta recalled. “She died [...] I ended up going to the hill where I proposed, I fell, ended up in the hospital, and [fell] in love with the nurse [...] But I got an annulment because she didn't tell me she was the richest woman in America.” Liotta later got his big break on another soapy show, “St. Elsewhere.”
