The Truth About Barack Obama's Odd Late-Night Snack Routine

During his eight years in the White House, Barack Obama was constantly in the limelight, and couldn't even stop at a bakery without it becoming international news. His visit to Le Moulin de Provence, a bakery in Canada, generated an insane amount of cookie sales for the business; as for Obama's other favorite snacks, those close to him have spilled the details.
The Obama family's former chef Sam Kass and Barack's wife Michelle Obama have allegedly joked about the former president's nightly habit of snacking on exactly seven almonds — "Not six. Not eight," Kass said. However, Barack confirmed that the rumor was merely a joke, but he does think almonds are "a good snack" that he strongly recommends.
Obama has also revealed that he's not married to healthy snacking; sometimes he indulges in junk food. He told the Washington Post about his love for chips and guacamole, and told "The Tonight Show" his opinions on pizza, praising the New-York-style slice for being so convenient and adding that pineapple does not belong on a pizza.
