"Goodfellas" actor Paul Sorvino passed away at the age of 83 on July 25, 2022. In addition to a decades-long career, the famous actor and husband had three beautiful children, including actress Mira Sorvino — who won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance in "Mighty Aphrodite."
Mira is an active part of the #MeToo movement and was amongst the women that finally spoke out against notorious sexual predator Harvey Weinstein in 2018. When the story of Mira’s sexual assault became public, Paul Sorvino did not mince his words and said he would kill Weinstein if the disgraced producer didn’t go to prison.
While Paul didn’t want Mira to pursue acting, the two always publicly expressed their love and admiration for each other, and Mira credited her father for her success in her 1996 Oscars acceptance speech. The father-daughter duo shared such a beautiful bond that in her touching tribute following his death, Mira wrote, “He was the most wonderful father. I love him so much.”
