Prince William’s mother Princess Diana always wanted to keep her children humble and grounded, so she taught her sons to always write thank you notes and had them volunteer at homeless shelters, among other learning activities. William is now carrying on his mother's life lessons through a side job of his.
The prince is reportedly selling a newspaper called The Big Issue on a street in London; the paper is sold by homeless or at-risk people in order to earn money for themselves, and William is lending them a hand. According to their website, the Big Issue Foundation also works to get their vendors access to housing and medical help.
Just like the other newspaper vendors, William was seen wearing the uniform of a red hat and vest, and he formerly spoke at an event at a London homeless shelter, recalling a visit to the same shelter with his mother. The prince is also the royal patron of the homeless charity Centrepoint, a role previously held by Princess Diana.
