Bradley Cooper and Renée Zellweger met on the set of the film "Case 39" in 2006 and were romantically linked two years later, with the relationship progressing fast once they officially began dating. Their relationship appeared to be picture-perfect, ‌so why did they break up?
By December 2009, they were reportedly celebrating the holidays with Cooper's parents in Los Angeles, where Zellweger was seen shopping with Cooper's mother Gloria. By the beginning of 2010, they were spotted house-hunting together a month previously, and by January they had reportedly moved into a home worth $4.7 million in the Pacific Palisades.
The couple split up shortly after, with allegations circulating that Cooper had cheated on Zellweger, but a friend of Bradley's claimed that if he "had to pick any possible mistress it would be Brad's career. He worked really hard to get into leading man status." According to another report, the pair split because Zellweger realized it just wasn't working out.
Another source claimed ‌the split occurred because Zellweger was "starting to think about children and settling down," although Cooper was content with "his life exactly as it" was. While the exact cause for their breakup is unknown, they appear to be friendly with one another, looking very pleased to see one another at the 2022 Oscars.
