Salma Hayek began her acting career in Mexico as a telenovela star before coming to Los Angeles in 1991. Hayek's career didn't take long to take off, but Hollywood wasn't the only one interested in pursuing the stunning actress.
Hayek began dating British actor Edward Atterton three years after relocating to the United States, and the two eventually split up amicably in 1999. She dated American actor Josh Lucas in 2003, but the relationship ended a year later due to conflicting schedules.
In the midst of those two relationships, Hayek dated actor Edward Norton from 1999 to 2001. Although the reason for their breakup is unknown, it appears that they parted on good terms, as Norton attended Hayek's wedding.
Hayek met her husband, François-Henri Pinault, the CEO of a French luxury goods company, in 2006. They were engaged in 2007, welcomed their daughter Valentina shortly after, and married in 2009.
