High school sweethearts Sarah and Todd Palin eloped in 1988 and share five children, and to outsiders, it looked like the former Alaska governor and Vice-Presidential candidate had it all. However, the Palins' relationship imploded in 2019, and Sarah said of the divorce, "Except for the death of a child, I don't know what could be more [painful]."
the price of fame
Todd filed for divorce after 31 years of marriage, citing "incompatibility of temperament." It's possible that fame took its toll on the couple; Sarah was under a harsh spotlight during her career, with her odd behavior often parodied on "SNL." Court documents show that the divorce was granted on March 25, 2020.
cheating rumors
There are rumors of infidelity on both sides of the Palins' divorce. Rumors about the former governor say that she used drugs and had a six-month-long affair with one of Todd's business partners. Allegations of Todd's questionable activities are similar to his ex-wife's, including an affair of his own and a penchant for drug use.
rapping pink bear
Sarah Palin has kept a low profile since her divorce, but in 2020, she took part in "The Masked Singer" as a rapping pink bear. Wondering why this happened at all? You're not alone. Palin told host Nick Cannon that the experience served as a "walking middle finger" to her "haters," proving she's as quirky as ever.
