The Chrisleys' first show was most popular amongst a younger demographic, with the average viewer around 36 years old but other viewers being as young as 18. Todd warmly welcomed the more youth-oriented "Growing Up Chrisley" as an addition to the family's franchise.

"Growing Up Chrisley" followed Savannah and Chase to Los Angeles, where they hoped to achieve their professional and personal dreams. The network assured fans that even though the siblings were venturing out, they would still be seen on "Chrisley Knows Best."

Fans were excited to see what “Growing Up Chrisley” had in store for Savannah, who wanted to launch a clothing line, and Chase, who dreamt of acting. Todd simply commented on his kids' departure, "I look forward to eating in the restaurant that Chase is going to be working in."
