Challenges frequently marked Donny Osmond's experience with fame, as the reviews from critics and the media's comments about him were often quite tough.

Sexual Abuse
Marie Osmond's book, "Behind the Smile: My Journey out of Postpartum Depression" is filled with personal details, including the abuse she experienced as a child.
"I was definitely abused, and it was definitely sexual [...] it is the long-term effects of those types of things that you don't even see," Marie confessed on "Larry King Live."
Fighting For Love
Donny Osmond's disciplinarian father, George, was against the singer's decision to marry his wife, Debbie Glenn, at such a young age.
"When I told my dad, he said, 'Well, there goes your career, but this is ushering in your personal life,'" Donny revealed in an interview with The Guardian.
Battling Depression
Marie Osmond has openly discussed her battle with postpartum depression in her book, "Behind the Smile: My Journey out of Postpartum Depression."
"This was not me, shaken to the core [...] Whoever this was, she had no control of her emotions. Whoever this was, I wanted nothing to do with her," Marie wrote in her book.
Family Death
Marie Osmond's son, Michael Blosil, died by suicide at the age of 18 after battling with depression and substance misuse for years.
Marie's brother, Donny, also spoke about how she was coping following Michael's death. "I can hear her crying, and that hurts," he told Entertainment Tonight.
