It's hard to believe that Diana, Princess of Wales, would now be in her 60s. Diana’s untimely death left a gaping hole in her young sons’ lives, and it made Prince William and Prince Harry determined that their own children will grow up learning about the life and significant impact of their “Grandma Diana.”
As grown men with families of their own, both princes have continued their mother’s philanthropic work as a tribute to her. Perhaps the most important way they honor her legacy is through their own children. Both the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex have included “Diana” in the full names of their firstborn daughters.
In "The Me You Can't See," an Apple+ series co-produced with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry explains that Archie has a photo of Grandma Diana in his nursery. "One of the first words he said apart from Mama, Papa was then Grandma. Grandma Diana," Harry said. "It's the sweetest thing. At the same time, it makes me really sad because she should be here.”
