The Braemar Gathering is the most famous of the Highland Games and is known worldwide. Each year thousands of visitors descend on this small Scottish village on the first Saturday in September to watch one of the more colourful Scottish traditions. The Gathering has a long history and in its modern form it stretches back nearly 200 years. What Princess Anne Always Carries In Her Purse

As the only daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Anne has a history that definitely lives up to the royal prestige. The princess holds a number of military and was named 2021's "hardest working royal" with 387 engagements, and rather than running on energy drinks or instant coffee, Anne keeps a unique pick-me-up in her purse.
In the book "Queen of Our Times: The Life of Elizabeth II," Anne's daughter Zara Tindall revealed that her mom "always has a kiwi fruit" in her purse as a vigor-restoring snack. Anne might have the right idea; kiwis are high in vitamin C, antioxidants, and fiber, all of which keep the body running smoothly, especially the immune and digestive systems.
Both Princess Anne and her mother also loved to snack on overripe, "almost black" bananas, says Darren McGrady, Queen Elizabeth's personal chef of 11 years. Anne also makes sure to exercise regularly, but with nearly 400 engagements on her schedule for this past year, it's likely that Anne doesn't have to try too hard to get moving.
