What Really Happened To Nelle On General Hospital?

Not-So-Sweet Nelle
When Nelle Hayes (Chloe Lanier) first arrived in Port Charles on "General Hospital," she claimed to be a kidney donor for Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) daughter. However, Nelle had a vendetta against Carly and played a trick to make it look like Carly's husband Sonny (Maurice Benard) had slept with Nelle.
Her Secret
It turns out that Nelle's real last name was Benson, and she was raised by Frank Benson, Carly's adoptive father. In a jealous plot to ruin Carly's life, Nelle dated Carly's son Michael and manipulated him by telling him she was pregnant, but Michael wasn't lured over to Nelle's side and exposed her for killing her fiancé.
Nelle’s Baby
When Nelle finally had her child, she swapped it with Brad Cooper’s (Parry Shen) baby, who had died in his crib. Nelle gave Brad her son to present to his husband, but Nelle kept tabs on her child and eventually sued for custody of her baby, leading Brad to marry Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and win the lawsuit.
Kidnapping Wiley
When visitation rights weren't enough for Nelle, she kidnapped her son Wiley and escaped into the woods. She ran into Carly at the Corinthos cabin, and Nelle ran off again with Carly chasing her, only to fall off a cliff. Though Nelle plunged into the water below, her death is far from certain.
